Dr. Vaughan Rees is the associate dean, international & engagement in the Faculty of Art & Design at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Dr Rees is a practicing artist who has exhibited internationally his visual work, drawn research on travel, consumption, and climate change, and has constructed a practice-led research methodology he named Visual Autobiography. As an author, editor, illustrator, and curator of higher education publications, he has encouraged globally best teaching practitioners in art and design to reflect, write, and share their insights into higher education visual learning and teaching. Recently he co-curated with Dr. Arianne Rourke an eight-book series titled "Transformative Pedagogy in the Visual Domain," published by Common Ground Research Networks and recipient of the 2018 Publisher’s Award of Excellence.
