Azadeh Nilchiani is an artist, researcher, and university lecturer born in Tehran and based in Paris. She holds a PhD in Arts from Université Gustave Eiffel, focused on Sound Installations in Urban Spaces. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher for the DEM’ARTS project (Création, démocratie et numérique) at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. A graduate of the Tehran University of Fine Arts, ENSAD in Paris (Art-Space), and the National School of Music in Pantin (electroacoustic composition), she works at the intersection of artistic creation and academic research. She also worked as a research associate at the Bibliothèque nationale de France. Since 2014, she has taught at Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée and later at the Arts Department of the University of Lille, as a temporary teaching and research assistant. She is also a TEDx speaker. Her interdisciplinary artistic practice combines sound, visual, and spatial media, with works ranging from installation and video art to electroacoustic composition.
